I have an IBM P133 which had Windows 95. The hard drive died so I installed two older (and smaller) hard drives. The master of these two still had Windows 3.11 installed on it. When I try to boot this drive, it cannot load Windows 3.11 and it comes up with 'An error has occured while trying to initialise the video adapter'. And then goes to a dos prompt. In the bios, it shows it has S3 Trio as a video controller - but this cannot be changed. The old drives have older software than the dead one.
How can I get these old drives to boot to Windows 3.11? |
