1266181 2012-03-21 07:30:00 Someone on here recommended Revo Uninstaller, which I have been using.

Lurking.

1266182 2012-03-21 07:37:00 You should have carried on with the other thread about this, not started a new one.

Anyways -- Doesn't actually mean windows installer is damaged, could be simplepass is and cant access the installer.

Have a read of h30434.www3.hp.com may or may not help.

It sounds like the uninstaller for the program is corrupted or not there so you could try reinstalling it and then uninstalling again.

That is a very poor subject heading and will put a lot of people off. Don't put URGENT HELP as it is only urgent to you and reading the thread doesn't appear urgent at all. I assume (Exoerts Needed) was meant to be (Experts Needed) and is also not a good look.
A better subject heading would have been "Error unistalling HP SIMPLE PASS software". You would be far more likely to get useful answers.

I was just going to say the same thing, after reading the mouseover preview, people aren't dying, you're not about to lose your job, so I wouldn't classify it as 'urgent' ;-)

Finally, the HP Simple Pass isn't the end of the world if you can't remove it from the list. You can use Ccleaner to get rid of it from your Add / Remove Programs list. There's a good chance somebody could also have just deleted the directory the product was installed in...

1266189 2012-03-21 19:31:00 Remove it manually. Delete the folder, run CCleaner, then go check for leftovers. In your profile, and I would check the registry manually for references to it, but most people think that's a scary thing to do....not if you stick to looking for just that program. pctek (84)
