1265582 2012-03-18 00:38:00 so i've got a column of cellphone numbers in excel in the format of 027XXXXXXX etc etc

what i need to do is remove the 0 and replace it with 64 so it reads 6427XXXXXXX

is there a quick formulaic way to do this or is it a case of changing each number manually??

thanks

GJ

In column B:
=CONCATENATE("64", RIGHT(A1, LEN(A1)-1))

you have 027 somewhere other than the start where you want to make the change.

@ManUFan: should've mentioned there was a mixture of 027, 021 and 022. thanks anyway
