performance of your PC. The new 2012 version has
these benefits.

- Increase boot time
- Reduce power usage with laptops
- Automatic maintenance
- Increase performance of Windows
- Recover disk space
- Personalize Windows

I won't name it, I'd rather believe that the ad writer was having a blonde moment.

1242325 2011-11-07 19:55:00 Depends. When I working for a large company (> 5000 employees), similar software were used. Depends on certification from whom, and we use to read/assess subscribed reports from the Gartner Group. (www.gartner.com) For personal use, use to try all in one packages, e.g. pc pitstop and similar a while back, but found not much forum support as compared to the standard free software of today. So probably not buy it, since like many, have become familiar with standard maintenance freeware, and reading sound advice from this forum. kahawai chaser (3545)

If it is any thing like some in the past the resources it uses probably outweighs the benefits as all those things can probably be done just by changing some settings anyway.

1242327 2011-11-07 20:14:00 At least they started out being honest about the the features in the ad, but slipped back to the traditional :) R2x1 (4628)
1242328 2011-11-07 20:46:00 If I wanted to do the first thing I'd install Norton. :D pcuser42 (130)

1242330 2011-11-07 21:17:00 No, I do not want to increase boot time. I wonder if the ad was proof read. :D Bobh (5192)
1242331 2011-11-07 23:01:00 Yes, regardless of the typo, SW that improves HW. Right. pctek (84)

Should be easy - Vista can make the hardware useless, Norton does that just as well, and so if dumb software can make the hardware dumb, anything else has to be better? A Norton uninstall disk would smarten a whole lot of hardware up. ;)

1242333 2011-11-08 07:27:00 So norton makes a feature to increase boot time. Hmmm... I thought by installing nortons it significantly increased boot time anyway.... sahilcc7 (15483)
