| 1241608 | 2011-11-04 04:25:00 | i watch a video usb 3 was only two times as fast tested usb three mboard with a ssd hd to avoid the hd bottleneck, not ten times as fast as the guy said quoting the theory speeds. typing on hand phone. | Nomad (952) | ||
| 1241609 | 2011-11-04 04:41:00 | Hard drives arent fast enough for USB 3 anyway, they barely can max out USB2 They can't even max out their own SATA 3Gbit/s... |

| 1241611 | 2011-11-04 04:50:00 | In terms of efficiency . I tested a single largish file . My 54Mbit/sec WIFI worked out to be around a 20Mbit . My 2000 era old laptop that is still tickling away, well at the time, the LAN port just died :p it was performing at maybe 80Mbit for a 100Mbit . For routers, many people I guess just use WIFI . For us we just don't copy that much stuff, it's just internet and stuff . But for backup, we just click start and leave it, sync or incremental doesn't take that long . Well there are SSD HDs . . . :D But most won't buy them for the price . But then again there are SATA 3 HDs with a 6Gb/sec channel . Inefficiencies . . . It's not like going from USB1 to 2 . . . . . . |

| 1241617 | 2011-11-04 08:16:00 | Well I just did some tests :D I have with me a SATA 2 HD in the PC. I copied a single large file 1.8GB to a internal HD using a external dock. Destination Seagate SATA 2 - 29.74sec Seagate SATA 1 - 31.41sec. This was using eSATA on my PC. USB2 was 1m 03.58 and 1m 04.34 respectively. :p So what SATA2  USB 2 took quite some seconds at the end to finalised. |
