1265746 2012-03-19 04:56:00 Can you check one setting please -- Make sure Firefox is OPEN, any page doesn't matter which (other wise the following wont show) then On your speaker volume in the icon tray, open it, click on Mixer - Make sure the Firefox slider is not muted, and not right down. If it is OK, mute it, then unmute it, move the slider to the top, see what happens. See Pic below:

Also have you cleaned out your temp internet files ? if not then download and run ccleaner -sometimes crap in there can cause all sorts of problems. Try another browser as well - does the same clip still have no sound.

Try this -- as well if still no go - forum.mepiscommunity.org

there was no need to try the first suggestion, found that this fix is only good for OS later than XP...
anyhows have good news...
ran the ccleaner and then downloaded IE8 for comparison to FF...
woop woop....IE8 works just fine...
it gets better,
now FF is back and working again

thank you wainuitech and others for your help...
greatly appreciated.
cheers*****
