One unique problem that is not unique to us but to the whole village I live in is address verification is not possible because according to the NZpost database our address does not exist . The village uses a mailbox system not exactly unique in rural NZ either . This NZpost database causes problems even with goverment agencys like the NZTA yet you point this out to NZpost and they blame the other party . Whats exasperating is how TM willl not discuss the problem instead just demand proof of identity, of course I could just ring them at $1 . 99 per minute . btw, I do have a second pcworld login . I have not a clue what that was being a longtime ago and to an email long forgotten the password to . Do I need to provide my driving licence to reactivate and find that account? |

There is little chance of perpetrating frauds or engaging in other nefarious activities via two PCW accounts. Most you can do is have a long and pointless argument with yourself so why would PCW care? Exactly why won't you provide the Proof of Identity that TM ask for instead of trying to find a way around their security? I'd send a copy of my DL in a heartbeat if my bona fides were in question, and we also have two TM different accounts on the one email account, mine and my son's, both functioning OK. You wait until someone realises that there are two accounts being operated from the same house the advice was given was to blacklist the other account . That in turn causes another can of worms . I have this feeling that is what has happened someone has been squelling to TM probably as a result of a post on the Messegeboard or someone in TM has been nosing through the records and seen a dead account to this address and just shot with the hip and shouted high five I found a duel account . How many times has a CSR written notes on one of your many billing accounts and whats written been interpreted differant by someone else? Except with Trademe they seem to think they are God and Jury with the decisons and like the responses I got wont explain why the decison was made or provide evidence . It is interesting they claim nearly 4 million members in a country of just over 4 million yet they let Aussies be members as well . No wonder there is fraud! You might have missed my reply I can tell you why it irks me because I had 100% good feedback, which in itself proves being legit . :angry FACT it had been dealt with before couple years later it becomes a problem for an unknown reason not given . How easy would be to register another account to the same address if someone knew your details? Not that hard but then again TM refuse to supply details of what when and how this has happened . Funny how when things go pair shaped TM dont wont to know and btw, they refuse to give back the $21 they hold on my account . This has beendiscussed witht he credit card company . . . . . oh look another verification TM ignore . |

It's a privately owned company . They can do whatever they want . They arnt answerable to you & me . Some REAL competition would have changed their attitudes pretty quickly thou . BRB vehicle listing fees going through the roof, including $10 withdrawal fee (going to have classifieds running till close date even once sold now) BRB all their other BS fees. Brb remembering when TM was owned by a kiwi. |

You said it and as I pointed out if my account was bogus how come so such good feedback from people who have dealt with me? Can you supply ID to say who you are if I asked you? Do you ask every person you meet to supply ID? Frankly I dont go asking every supplier or customer to prove who they are by asking for their driving licence. Then it comes down to how do I know that information is secure? Think about is be safe on the internet! As the poster above has also pointed out the prices/fees also impact why I am so peeved with them although my transaction have been as a buyer rather than a seller. |
