just got a adsl modem from telstra..a rta1320v6 model adsl2+ type...now i am wanting to hook this up to my belkin n1 wireless/lan switch...the adsl works fine and the n1 works fine on there own but as i am a "mobile "type of guy i need the two to work together so i can get the net wirelessly (as that a new word?)...any one help me with settings i need for the belkin....the adsl i.p (via the lan cable is 192.168.1.1....the belkin is 192.168.1.254 for the wan) .i am in new plymouth and this is the first time i have used adsl..seems they are too cheap up here to use cable bb like down in chch!

1266411 2012-03-22 22:01:00 The rta1320v6 will probably die in about 6 mths. Ive got the same modem (when I joined TC). And the power adapter died. I'm using the old Dlink modem power adapter. Otherwise, I wouldnt be here now. I think you have to disable DHCP on the modem (there's a few posts in here). Speedy Gonzales (78)
1266412 2012-03-22 22:07:00 yeap not my first choice in modems..prefer cable by far but have to go with what they provide...yes seen a few posts but i am not a comp geek ...give me a radio transceiver any day lol (radio tech by trade)...yes the dynalink has a bit of bad press on the net...in fact anything that the telcos provide is crap...might have to go into town and just fork out for a all in one adsl modem (with wireless in built) got enuff cables as it is! ssl100 (16725)
