| 6107 | 2000-08-31 03:20:00 | Can someone please help? I am using Iexplore 5.01 Windows 98 and everytime I close it down an error message pops up saying that iexplore has perfomed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Iexplore caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL. The error message won't go away when I try to close it. CTRL/ALT/DELETE won't work so I end up having to switch the computer off and back on again. I think this problem started when I downloaded Microsoft's latest 5.5 version and through some helpful advice I was told to uninstall it and go back to my previous version, which was 5.01 except that it went back to an even earlier version which was installed on this machine 4.0. Anyway, I reinstalled 4.01 which is what I am running now but I still get the error message. What else can I try? I'm sick of it. Thanks in advance Karen |
