| 6102 | 2000-08-30 13:30:00 | I am trying to prepare an old pc of mine for use by my daughter, who is leaving home in order to study. During the course of the 'clean up', I decided to reformat both hard drives, completely forgetting that the CD drive was an added peripheral and I now have no way of getting the pc to recognise it on boot up, hence I cannot relaod the operating software. I have tried to obtain what I thought were the relevant drivers fron the CD suppliers web site, and incorporated them onto the start up disk, but it continues to refuse to recognise the CD drive. Can someone advise me where I can find the appropriate drivers and create a suitablke boot disk that will allow me to use the cd to load the rest of the software? Hardware details are as follows: Olivetti PCS 42P S2/50. Creative SB16 CD Rom. Operating system Win 95 (eventually). Any help would be appreciated. |
