| 6183 | 2000-09-04 01:45:00 | Dear Guru, I have Windows 95, Version 4.3.1212, harddrive 4.3 GB (more than halve free), 64MB Ram, Intel Pentium II 233MHz I have two problems but I do not know whether they are related. 1. When I open Windows Explorer I cannot scroll up or down in the left pane. Sometimes when I use View/Refresh it goes back to normal. I have no trouble with scrolling in any other programme. 2. My computer\Control Panel\System\Device Manager\SCSI Controllers\!!SHUTTLE EPAT EXTERNAL ATAPI ADAPTOR General Tab: Device Status: This device is not present, not working properly or does not have all the drivers installed. See your hardware documentation. (Code 10) Driver Tab: No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device. These two problems started after I installed the software for my new flatbed scanner (HP Scanjet 4300C). I was not happy where I had decided to put the different folders. I used the supplied uninstaller software. Then I installed the HP software again but this time in the default folders. Now I have a suspicion I might have deleted a shared file even if I did not intend to do his. After all this I discovered the two problems. Hoping that you are able to make sense of all this, I look forward to your reply, Bob Ephraim |
