6151 2000-09-02 01:10:00 I read with great interset the letter from Murray Fox, and the response by Vladimir Kosovac, and Juha in the September issue, as I am trying to do the same thing ie network a PII 400 running Win2K to an old P100 running Win98.

However I would appreciate some more clarification on what is required to acheive point 3 of Vladimirs response' A user account with sufficient rights must be set up on the W2k machine....'
I can use the W2k machine to work with the drives on the W98, however I cannot read off the W2k machine, as I get asked for a password for the connection, but am not asked for a user logon???

My other question realtes to Internet connection sharing. Juha mentions that 'MS says that other machines on the Lan must use DHCP...' is this already installed on my W98 PC, or how do I effect this?
