| 6143 | 2000-09-01 04:29:00 | I bought 'PCWorld' today because apart from the information in the magazine I was interested in some of the programs on the CD provided. When I tried to access the disc in D drive I got the message 'D drive not ready'?retry. That didn't work either. I have a lot of trouble with the discs supplied with the magazines and I did read somewhere that they are burned in volumes and so suffer in quality. However, I have not had one before that doesn't even acknowledge being in the drive. I tried other CDs and they worked ok. Although the magazines offer to replace any faulty discs the cost of buying the packaging and postage is more than the price of the magazine. Any suggestions? Thanks |
