| 6234 | 2000-09-07 06:16:00 | I have a Penitum 133 (Windows 95a) that I am trying to install a second hard drive onto. Currently has a 1.2Gb, am trying to install a 10.2Gb (partitioned into 2.1Gb partitions). The BIOS (AMIBIOS)can detect both hard drives but when i try to boot the machine freezes after detecting both the hard drives. The machine still works fine with the orginal HDD and will not work with just the new one installed. Any ideas?? I have correctly changed the jumpers to master and slave (tried cable select and numerous other combinations) The BIOS is an older one that doesn't detect all the sizes, but i have found these on the manufactures web site. Can my BIOS not handle the size of this drive?? |
