| 6189 | 2000-09-04 06:18:00 | I have just purchased Windows NT 4.0 Workstation and cannot install the drivers for my modem. The modem is a D-link DFM-560+ Internal PCI modem. It is based on a Conexant Chipset (RH56D?)And comes with drivers for NT but when I run the installation program it says 'The Modem Could Not Be Installed' Yes very not handy cryptic error message :) Also in modems when running NT there is no com3 where the modem is supposedly running on under Win95. But i'm not sure if this appears until the driver installs. As the modem runs perfectly under Win95 (Im using it now) I believe that this may be a Pnp (or lack of it) fault. Any Suggestions (at all) would be very much apreciated p.s I have already installed Service Pack 6 (I don't think I need to go any higher). |
