| 6285 | 2000-09-10 03:23:00 | I upgraded from Win95a to Win98se. No problems with upgrade (Win98 found and configured all devices.)When install was completed,I tried to acess the net but got modem not responding message. Checked Device Manager-No conflicts.Then to MODEMS-DIAGNOSTICS,selected modem,then clicked on More Info,communicating with modem box appeared followed quickly by another box titled OpenComm,with a message saying Port already open. LTwin.56k pci,com3,irq11,addr 6000. I have removed Dial Up Adapters from Device Mnger,can't find any other devices or programes using a port. everything worked fine under Win95,but I would like to use this Win98se upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
