| 6246 | 2000-09-08 13:25:00 | I've got a cable modem runinng into a pc with win98 on it. That pc is networked via a hub (and netbeui) to a another witn win95 (first edition) on it. I want to share the cable modem (and internet). I copied the IP, DNS, and gateway settings to the 95pc; and adding 1 to the IP number (then a variety of other numbers); but kept coming up with IP conflict signals. Can I share the cable modem without a proxy server? |
