| 6322 | 2000-09-12 03:22:00 | In Excel 97, to edit the contents of a cell, you can double-click on the cell text. However, if you accidentally double-click on the cell border instead of the cell text, Excel exhibits a not-so-nice 'feature' which causes the cell address to change. Effectively, this is a jump in the direction of the cell border - but it seems to be a pretty random sort of jump - sometimes a page, sometimes to the bottom of the spreadsheet. Is there any way to disable this feature? - I find it is really disruptive, as I have to scroll back through the worksheet to find the cell I was trying to edit. Alternatively, is there a way to quickly go back to the previous cell? |
