| 6294 | 2000-09-10 08:40:00 | I have recently tried to install a second harddrive to my Compaq 5220 computer but without much luck. I tried to connect the CD ROM cable to the secondary EIDE connector and the harddrive to the primary. In the process of doing this, the cd- rom is no long detected during startup. I have secured the cables connected to the cd-rom and have tried going into windows in safe mode and removed the cd ?rom drivers and rebooting the computer. I have noticed the harddrive light is always lit instead being on and off when the hard drive is busy. Could you please give any ideas as to remedy the problem. thanks |
