| 6304 | 2000-09-11 05:36:00 | Using Windows 98.Have recently had hard disk reformatted, and IE5.5 installed. Click on desktop short cuts to either Outlook Express, and it takes 45 seconds for the windpw to come on line. Likewise go to Start..Settings.. Control Panel and it takes the same time. Notice that in Control Panel window icons initially show as 'place holders' and later fill in with standard images. Slow operation also occurs with some other desktop shortcuts. |
