| 6368 | 2000-09-16 00:32:00 | I'm using a Celeron 366 system, with 64 mb ram, one floppy, one dvd drive, 6.1 gb hard drive, one lan card, one modem card, and a zip drive, scanner, and a printer coming off my parallel port. My video and sound are intergrated into my motherboard. Occationally, when i start up my computer, it would refuse to boot. It would try to access the floppy drive, beep twice in quick succession, pause for a short while, then repeat the whole process. All the while, my moniter says that it is not receiving a signal. The booting process doesn't get as far as my hard drive. After i see this, i press the reset button, and it usually boots up fine with no errors at all after a couple of times. I've checked my bios settings and i've checked my system settings in the control panel, and both say that my computer is fine and dandy. What's wrong? Is it my bios? Is there some physical defect with my motherboard? The next time this happens, I'll make more observations and post them under this thread. |
