| 6408 | 2000-09-19 05:18:00 | I have a Pentium II 233 MHz processor computer with 64 MB RAM. MS-6117, ATX -LX6 mainboard. CD ROM and zip drive and Win 95 O/S GNZ Quantum 4.3GB Bigfoot Hard drive. The problem I am having is a few months ago I had the need to reinstall Win 95 and new hard drive. Since this time after about ? of a hour the hard drive make cranking noise and this get worse as time goes on. When you try to terminate a program it take longer to get back to the desktop. I seems as though hard drive is trying to reset itself and cant find where to start on the hard drive. This problem gets worse at time goes on. I have to leave it turn off for some time then restart the computer . Other than that programs seem to function normally. Nortion program has found no problems on the hard drive and windows. I thought it may be a problem with the formatting of the hard drive or some patch that it need to run the hard drive on my system. Any solutions you could offer would be grateful. Regards Terry |
