6464	2000-09-24 11:21:00	Greetings Oh Wise Ones I have a Pentium 100, Micronics Motherboard (onboard sound), 32Mb RAM, 845Mb Hardrive, 2 meg S3 video card, running Win95B, Netscape 4.73 and ICQ. Modem is an ISA no brand with Rockwell chipset. All runs nicely except when I send emails!. Normally the machine will send 1 or 2, (sometimes even 5 or 6), then 'The Dreaded Blue Screen Of Death' with the following message(s). An Exception 0E has occured at 0028:C0F3BFC3 in VxD VIP(01) + 00002783. This was called from 0028:C0F17F1A in VxD VTDI(01) + 000000BA. It may be possible to continue normally..... etc etc. Also followed (sometimes) by the message:- An Exception 0E has occured at 0028:C002909A in VxD IFSMGR(01) + 000038D2. This was called from 0028:C0F1D610 in VxD PPPMAC(01) + 00004610. It may be possible to continue normally..... etc etc. After you hit any key, the computer still runs, but internet/email won't. If you disconnect then reconnect you get the 'Can't negotiate suitable protocols.... etc' message. Rebooting brings it right... until the next time you email. I thought it may be a conflict with ICQ, but it occurs even when ICQ is not loaded. The problem was also there in the computers previous life as a 486 DX4-100. The only bits transferred were the modem and memory. The memory has been swapped with no improvement. I have the same software setup running on another machine (K6 2-400, 64Mb, PCI Rockwell Modem, 8Mb I740 AGP Video) and have no problems. Any suggestions greatfully received!!	Guest (0)
