| 6460 | 2000-09-24 01:42:00 | I have just started having problems with the Cdrom drive. When you put in a disk it usually revvs up and spins, but now it hardly makes a sound and the hard disk light and the cdrom light are on continuously for about 1 minute. It may get to explorer to view the files, or otherwise it states D:\ not accessible or device not ready. When you reset the Cdrom is doing something and the bios does not detect the cdrom and it hangs on loading win 98. The drivers are 32 bit ie not loaded from config.sys. Any Ideas? the system is just a couple of months old. Celeron 533A, Win 98, 52x Fujitsu Cd Rom Drive on sec slave. Thanks. |
