| 6457 | 2000-09-23 10:43:00 | Hi, There is a tip on this site to get Explorer to open in a double pane when clicking on My Computer. The suggestion given involves editing the registry. I thought some readers might be reluctant to do this. So, for those of you who are, here's another way it can be done without editing the registry. (BTW - I'm using W 98SE) 1: Click on My Computer. 2: In the menu bar select View/Folder Options/File Types 3: Scroll down the list until you see the entry 'Folder'. 4: Select this entry and then choose 'edit'. 5: In the window that pops up look to the bottom in the field titled 'Actions'. 6: click on 'explore'. Select 'Set Default'. 'explore' will now turn bold. 7: Select 'close' and 'close'. 8: Finally, close the Explorer window down and then click (or double click) on My Computer. Viola!
