6540 2000-10-01 00:16:00 I loaded IE 5.5 off your latest (Sep) CD and have nothing but problems since (not that I'm blaming PC World). Originally I had Win 98 SE (I've been running it for over six months without problems), but with IE 5.5 I had so many crashes and lockouts I finally got radical and after a format, reloaded Win 98 (not SE). All worked well until I upgrade IE 4 to 5.5, and then the crashing started again. Not on IE startup as with SE, but after about ten to 15 minutes of browsing. This is the sequence: 1. 'big blue screen of death' with message - A fatal exception OE has occurred at 015F:BFF9DBA7. 2. Press any key, and I get message - Exlorer caused a GPF in module 0001:000075a2. 3. Click OK, and get original blue screen message. 4. Press any key, and I get message - KERNEL32 caused a GPF in module 0001:000075a2. 5. Back to blue screen etc. 6. New message - The system is dangerously low in resources. Would you like to terminate the following application? Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar. (later, same message for RNAAP) 7. Finally, blue screen message - A fatal exception OD has occurred at 013F:000075A2. It then locks up completely and must be 'reset' etc. PC is a PII 350 with 128 MB RAM. Any help would be appreciated.
