| 6563 | 2000-10-03 03:15:00 | Thanks to Mike Smiher, Frank Startup, Ekarin Teng and Rice Anderson for your previous suggestions. I have a 14' Forefront SVGA monitor which worked perfectly well until my computer crashed on me some time ago. I have determined that the adapter card is an SiS card, and the drivers CD supplied with the machine (which I have found!) has only one driver file matching that - SiS6215c. I have installed that, but have not been able to find a comatible monitor type listed in the Win98 h/w list which will allow more than 640x480 resolution. If I try to get a higher resolution, the mouse cursor appears as a black square, and no icons appear on the desktop or in Explorer. Any bright ideas? |
