| 6564 | 2000-10-03 03:05:00 | I have recently installed a FlyVideo'98 TV tuner card into my HP Pavilion. When I go to run the application a warning box appears saying: 'Current VGA display mode not suitable for Video Overlay! Video quality will be degraded! Please install Direct Draw Driver and change to Hicolor or above mode.' Although the program goes on and functions, the display quality is not as good as I had hoped for (low resolution, very grainy). I have already downloaded and installed the latest version of directX 7 but that did not help the situation. The manual that came with the tuner card claims that I require Direct Draw 5.0 or later. My video adapter card/driver (SiS 530) claims the 'feature' of Direct Draw 1.0. I have also been to the SiS website and done a reasonably large download (9MB) of what I thought was an updated version of the driver, unfortunately this had no effect as to the Direct Draw Version. Could you help me with any more suggestions or have I exhausted all my options? Thank You for any info you may be able to provide me with, David Lee |
