6567 2000-10-03 03:45:00 I own a P166 with 32Mb RAM and a 486SX @ 66MHz with 20Mb RAM, and both systems are running WIN95 B. I am attempting to network these two systems but the 486 has only ISA slots and the Pentium has only PCI slots free. I have been told that win95 can network peer-to-peer but only when using the same kind of network card in both machines (I am trying to avoid buying a hub as I only wish to network two machines). Is there any way I can use a PCI network card in one machine and an ISA card in the other without a hub, using 10baseT cable (I already have this and dont wish to buy coax)?
If so, how can it be done?
