1267009 2012-03-27 03:45:00 I just read about the battery problems with the new iPad, it could be damaged or ruined by over charging it. Say, if you left it to charge overnight. My question is, what about the Asus Transformer TF101? Is it ok to leave it charging overnight like I have done, or is my battery now screwed?

1267010 2012-03-27 03:56:00 Unless you hear otherwise, you should always be able to leave a device on charge. Lithium batteries MUST be carefully controlled when charging or else you WILL get the house burned down. The controller has to cut off the charge when the correct voltage is reached.

In addition, there MUST be a low voltage cutoff as running these batteries below a certain voltage WILL ruin the battery.

Must chase up the problems you read about. Got a reference?

1267015 2012-03-27 09:03:00 Yeah I've been watching him a bit lately, very refreshing take on a lotta issues, like when he talks about certain phones not being upgraded to the latest Android version etc.... Chilling_Silence (9)
1267016 2012-03-27 09:56:00 Keeping\storing lithium-based batteries always charged at 100% will reduce their lifespan quicker than normal. Agent_24 (57)
1267017 2012-03-27 19:33:00 That's true, but hard to manage. linw (53)
