1242898 2011-11-11 04:57:00 Given how much Steam's software sucks and needs endless upgrades, it seems entirely predictable that this was going to happen sooner or later.

Case of wait and see if my CC or login is compromised. Find out the hard way I suspect.

1242899 2011-11-11 06:34:00 Tried to change my Steam password. Nah

Steam wont let me change pass. Try again later sort of reply.

So... passwords compromised, yet cant change the password (I can still login though)
Not a good look, at all

1242900 2011-11-11 06:42:00 I changed my password this morning. Maybe as the news broke people tried to change their passwords which overloaded it. I doubt they designed the system to support a large amount of people using it at once. It doesn't matter if they know your login and password because they would need access to your email address as well. If you use the same login and password for your email address its your fault for being a moron. I hope the credit card details were encrypted well enough. Oh well I'm using a debt card so if they get my details they can steal a grand total of the $0 I'm leaving in that account.

No matter how much you think steam sucks it doesn't matter because unless its not connected to the net there's no way to completely stop people from hacking. A hacker could go after any service or site and still probably get in (assuming they don't suck) no matter how good their security is. Yeah bad security is going to make it easier but there is no such thing as unbreakable security.

1242902 2011-11-11 07:24:00 Another good reason not to use Steam(ing pile of ****)

An online gaming service not designed to support a large amount of people using it at once?

Yep, sounds like Steam alright!

1242903 2011-11-11 07:36:00 Speaking of hacking what happened about anonymous taking down Facebook on the 5th? CYaBro (73)
1242904 2011-11-11 21:38:00 Still cant change pass.

1242905 2011-11-12 02:07:00 Why bother change it? Think about it. If they have your password they still need access to your emails to gain access to your account. icow (15313)
