The newer one has the typos corrected (thanks Pctek) and the layout slightly different. It's still work in progress -- and a LOT of work at that, considering I'm no web designer, and threw that together in a few hours. Last time I looked, their prices were an absolute rip-off.I'll have to look back through the last years invoices, as its not on the last one I received. re the DNS -- Personally I dont really care who is doing what to where,as long as it works. :D As I mentioned earlier, if Telstra muck about, I'll simply transfer it to webdrive. |

| 1243081 | 2011-11-13 09:17:00 | If all Telstra are doing now is being the domain registra then I would move the domain to another host like webdrive. Chances are telstra will be charging you way too much to re register the domain anyway. Transferring a domain is usually free. |

Most of the hassles we see come from people having bits with various providers and pointing one or other part in different directions. |

Your authoritative servers are currently set to ns1/ns2.nameserver.net.nz - those are WebDrive&apos ; s servers ; so updating your A records on TelstraClear servers wasn&apos ; t the correct action (although it may remove the current symptom of the problem). The problematic servers are rachel/kirsty.paradise.net.nz (203.96.152.4/12) - those servers think that *they* are the authoritative nameservers for commend.co.nz, so until that is rectified you may have ongoing issues with TelstraClear cable customers every time you change a DNS record of any kind. | 1243084 | 2011-11-13 17:44:00 | Funny (or not) both companies say they have people working over the weekends yet surprise surprise no one actually answers any emails or ticket requests.:rolleyes: One person only currently does 2 hrs Saturday and Sunday. They don't go in, it's remote and do tickets only. They will prioritise, being on their own. It is going to change however, and staff will be rostered over 7 days. Patience.... |

Oh --- just to answer the questions regarding domain costing, Its not worth changing it to web drive currently. I worked out the difference and Telstra cost $20 more a year, Basically nothing - I can easily save more than that in one day when doing the shopping. :) |

The domain name is $19.95 a year (plus GST) on Domains4Less. Wouldn't involve name server changes either, you can tick Keep Settings and D4L uses ns1.namerserver.net.nz already. |

Mind you I wouldn't be calling after hours, not at the charge out rate -- Thanks but no thanks, its not that urgent. |
