| 1243613 | 2011-12-23 21:01:00 | Well its about damn time :p I was just saying to SWMBO on Thursday that Apple are really quick on the ball (Being sarcastic) -- Its been over a month since the recall, and was wondering if they were ever going to do anything about it ??? Well it FINALLY turned up 3459 Along with all the paper work. Now to package it after Xmas and send it off to Australia. Lets see -- Takes over a month to post out a box :rolleyes: More than likely another month or More to get it back -- Just in time for my Birthday no doubt :D |

| 1243615 | 2011-12-24 01:02:00 | I think they said the turnaround time was about 6 weeks from when they receive your iPod. I got my box on Thursday (22nd Dec) afternoon, emailed for a pickup and they said NZ Couriers would pick it up the next day, Friday. Friday came, no courier did, but no surprises there, because I've always found NZ Couriers to be pathetic. Called TNT and they said I now have to wait until next Wednesday (well fair enough, it's Christmas) Not sure why they get NZ Couriers to do their work for them though, I certainly wouldn't. EDIT: By the way, I have heard word that they have run out of old iPod Nanos and will be replacing them with the 6th Gen version now, so if you like the old style model, don't send it back, you won't get one the same. Might be better to get your own one repaired separately to the recall (but of course it wouldn't be free) |

| 1243616 | 2011-12-24 09:29:00 | Gotta admit that Apple were pretty good when I had a fault iPhone (Yeah, back in the day before I left the dark side). Rang them, they said "Sounds like a legitimate fault if you've done a factory reset and upgrade of the software, take it in and they'll look into it". So I marched off to MobileFoneRepair (The NZ agent for them) and dropped it off, showed them how the GPS wouldn't zero-in on it anywhere near as accurately as it ought. They said "Come back in 2 hours." ...So I did, and it was replaced, with a brand spankin' new one! Two hours for them to verify the fault and replace it. I was thrilled :D |

Interestingly, the email from TNT said "Your replacement item will be sent out from Apple once the collected shipment has been received into the TNT depot. " I wonder if that is true, and if so, why they don't wait for it to get back to Apple? |

WT, I could not back you on that as I had a three yr old MBP with a swollen battery and could not get anything out of that. Nevermind as I only paid 4+k for it. The last thing I bought from them! |
