1243690 2011-11-15 02:28:00 Here's part of an E-Mail from Aus .

Can't vouch for it, but a $5000 a week tax cut seems to fit in the the theme of the thread .

"NATIONAL’S WESTPAC MATE CREAMS KIWIS

New Zealand First says the multi-million dollar pay deal received by the Westpac bank boss shows how the Aussie banks are creaming it at the expense of New Zealanders .

Westpac New Zealand chief executive George Frazis was paid $5 . 4 million in the year to September, the second year in a row his pay has topped $5m .

The figure likely makes him the highest paid CEO in New Zealand this year .

Rt Hon Winston Peters says on top of his extortionate pay, Frazis was given a tax cut of more than five thousand dollars a week when the National Party increased GST and gave the rich tax cuts less than two years ago .

“Westpac took $454 million from New Zealand with a profit rise of more than 40 percent . No wonder this bank can afford to give truckloads of money to its New Zealand boss .

Mr Peters says many New Zealanders may not be aware that Westpac handles the government accounts so a lot of its profits are coming straight from taxpayers .

“Westpac enjoys very good relations with the National Party . It has even hired a retiring National cabinet minister to help keep its profits flowing .

“It’s high time Kiwibank was revamped to take over the government accounts and it’s time New Zealand owned a bigger chunk of its own banking system,” says Mr Peters .

1243692 2011-11-15 04:32:00 heh...its a private company, how is it anyone's business what they pay their ceo, its certainly got nothing to do with whoever is elected to govern.

And if they did interfere they would just change the structure.

If you have a moral issue with Westpacs pay rates then you should bank somewhere else.

1243693 2011-11-15 05:38:00 Because while they haven't got the capabilities to run a country they are able to vandalise billboards?

It wasn't the acts of the party, it was the acts of the individual. Plus it was Russel Norman's secretary's partner...

It would pay for you to keep quiet.:groan:
It says a lot about the party as a whole. What really puts me off them is the likes of Russell Norman who had links with the Aussie communist party.

Unless the Green party expells all those involved they must accept full responsibility for the actions of their members. If you are the member of any group you share responsibility good or bad with all members. If the group behaves in a way you do not agree with you leave. If a member behaves in a way unacceptable to the rest of the group that member is expelled.
It does not matter wether it is a religion, a gang, a political party or any other group that same principle applies.

Just when the Greens are looking like doing well and were attracting the votes of a lot of middle NZ the idiot juvenile fringes go and stuff it up for them.

Members of the Human race are advised that all politicians are to be expelled for an infinite number of reasons.

A spokesman for politicians claims they are a sub-group and thereby exempt.

A spokesman for the ministry of grasping sods said those subs are overdue.
