Still a good deal, but I am guesssng they will have to be free of any other faults, and they will check them for water damage with the sensors etc. | robbyp (2751)

Not particularly worried anyway - I don't use it these days because I have a mobile that does the same thing (why carry a mobile and an iPod when travelling, when the phone can do all you want in those circumstances?), and I also have a free Samsung Galaxy S2 that I got with my TV! | John H (8)

| 1243598 | 2011-11-18 02:19:00 | Meaning if it were sent in with a cracked screen they would properly reject it, since its only meant to be for a battery recall. But what the previous statement was meaning is it could be said it was fine when it left you, but got damaged in transit by the courier. |

Well the serial number for it is accepted by the battery recall page, that's what is confusing - their site doesn't say anything about that kind of situation except a vague statement: "If you have a personalized iPod nano, you will receive a non-personalized replacement." Does personalization include having a cracked screen? But what the previous statement was meaning is it could be said it was fine when it left you, but got damaged in transit by the courier. Yeah, I just realised that. Though they probably wouldn't buy that, if this is what they send you to ship it back in: darkside098.blogspot.com |

| 1243601 | 2011-11-18 02:46:00 | Or they might just bin it and send me nothing  Yeah I guess it's worth a try, as long as they don't try to charge me for the courier if they won't accept it. I suppose that's not likely. |

| 1243602 | 2011-11-19 20:15:00 | Oh well, the Apple Nano Replacement Program (sic) seems to be working. I have received an acknowledgement email from Apple, saying they are sending me a box for sending the Nano back to them. The email is all hedged around with the usual defensive legal mumbo jumbo so beloved of our unlovely capitalist organisations, but at least they are doing what they said they would do (with legal reservations). I guess I better back up the wee beastie before the box arrives... | John H (8) | ||
