I had convinced myself, as much as I enjoy watching the government spend copious amounts on roading, that the so called 'holiday highway' really was a waste of money, and that rail (well PT in general) in Auckland should be a government spending priority. I think it's a good thing. :) |

Auckland keeps making it's own mistakes, like removing trams in 1957 and not persuing Robbie's light rail ideas. Even the bus service now is a poor imitation of what the old Auckland Transport Board used to run.
