| 1267196 | 2012-03-28 03:18:00 | Because of problems that I have had in the past, I have turned off the automatic updates and the User Account Control. (Because of an update my laptop crashed completely and had to be reconfigured.) I have no intention of doing any more updates, but the alerts keep coming up every time I switch on and it is becoming quite annoying. One says, "New Updates are available" and the other says, "Check your user account control settings. User account control is turned off. Check this notification to fix the problem." Is there any way of turning off these alerts? Thanks for your help.:thanks |
