| 1266780 | 2012-03-26 07:22:00 | I have just purchased a new computer fitted with a TSSTcorp CCDVDW SH-222AB SCSI CdRom. My old player was a Universal Type that played the parallel-import DVDs OK. Until it swallowed 30K volts! Now I am back to the old problem. Is there any practical work-around to achieve a universal; setting on a PC-mounted DVD? TFYH GrahamB |

So you dont need to buy a dvd backup/ripper as mentioned above I have 11.04 as dual boot on my pc and downloaded the patch/codec to watch dvd, I use the default media player or vlc. No problems with nz, uk or us dvd's that I have tried. I suppose you could install ubuntu within windows if you dont want a separate install. A. |
