| 6647 | 2000-10-09 23:17:00 | Hi. I am helping a friend reformat a puter and install W98. He had an error message previously during his startup sequence while running W95, and I thought the fdisk, reformat and installation of W98 (1st ed) would cure it, but it's still there. I have no idea at this stage what other symptoms or repercussions arise from this conflict, but it would be nice to see it gone. The message comes just after boot up, and before Windows loads: conflict i/0 ports: 2f8 I'm not sufficiently techie to resolve this one, so advice would be much appreciated.
