| 6761 | 2000-10-18 11:00:00 | Some weeks ago I posted a question regarding the phone connection provided by the program Microsoft Access. As yet I haven't received a reply. Just in case the request is mislaid I will repeat the question. Microsft provides a facility which allows the creation of a telephone icon which is placed on the main toolbar. When this icon is clicked it automatically dials the phone number currently selected in Microsoft Access 2. I have successfully installed the facility on one computer but when attempting to do the same on a near identical setup I get the error message 'Cannot create active X object' and the connection fails. The phone icon creates OK on the toolbar though. I would greatly appreciate a ray of light into the problem. I have asked many many people but --- blank looks all around. In anticipation Phil Read |
