| 6935 | 2000-11-02 11:21:00 | I have recently started to have problems running scan disc & Defrag. 1)Scan disc starts, checks fat tables, starts checking folders, then starts the process over again, it never completes the task. 2)Defrag starts checking drive for errors, advances to 1% complete & starts over again & again & again. Prior to this Defrag was starting to read, write & move data but kept stopping & starting again at around 10 - 12%, with a message something like, 'data on disc has changed'. I have no screen savers running, virus scan is disabled & all other programs are shut down. Have completed full virus scan with latest signature files on McAfee virus scan but found no virus. Can anyone suggest what the problem may be. |
