7055 2000-11-10 22:50:00 I have recently purchased a J-Mark (or Jetway) 993AN Mainboard (with VIA Apollo Pro AGP chipset) which has no built-in sound or video. I also got given an ATI Rage Mobility -P AGP Graphics card (which is sitting in my AGP slot, of course), but the problem is that there are no compatible drivers in Win98 for this display adapter other than 'Standard PCI VGA Graphics Adapter' (ie. 640 x 480 x 16 colours...ugh!). The manual (which is in real bad English) says to set up the AGP slot thru the mainboard setup CD, but I haven't got a CD-ROM drive yet, so I downloaded VIA's 4-in-1 driver from their drivers page and ran it, only when my computer restarted, PnP began searching for drivers for the Standard PCI VGA Adapter again, and my resolution and colour depth is still the same no matter what I do. Can anybody give me any insight into this problem, or do I just need to get A CD-ROM drive ASAP? Guest (0)
