| 7045 | 2000-11-10 05:00:00 | I'm running win98 SE on a pentium 500III with 128 meg of ram, so usually the machines no sluggard. Since installing IE5.5 from the Oct 2000 edition of PCWorld I noticed a slowdown when opening word 2000, sending info to the printer and opening IE5.5 itself. Anyone else out there noticed any changes since installing IE5.5? I tried re installing IE5.5 from this months disk and have now noticed a slow down when I open Outlook Express. Any work arounds? Richard |

| 7046 | 2001-02-23 09:42:00 | Yes Richard I have been having a similar problem since installing IE5.5 from the PCWorld disk. Word is slower and has crashed more often and my internet access is absolutely atrocious. I have been trying to download diagnostic software to pinpoint the problem with no success yet(IE5.5 makes even the download difficult). I can't as yet even uninstall it as I am having problems with that too. | Guest (0) | ||
