1268552 2012-04-06 01:40:00 Hi
recently I got a couple of BSOD's out of the blue one of which I recognized from a previous issue I had (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL):

My previous encounter with this blue screen was caused by a fualty RAM module, so I restarted and ran MemTest. The test found a couple of hundred errors so I spent the rest of the day removing each of the sticks and running the tests again. Eventually I thought I'd narrowed it down to the faulty stick, however after putting them all back in and running the tests again (4 passes) it didn't find any errors, so I left all of the modules in the motherboard thinking the errors may have been caused by improperly seated RAM.

A couple of days passed and everything worked fine until I got another blue screen, however this time it was a different message:

I decided to do a system restore just to see if it would make a difference. After the restore everything worked fine for almost a week until today when I got this BSOD:

After this last BSOD I ran MemTest again and found about 100 errors. Why am I getting so many different BSOD's and what could be causing them?

Additional Information:
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit
I have never over-clocked any of my components
I have recently (about 4 months ago) installed an extra 4gb of RAM (exact same type as first set) bringing the total to 8GB, everything worked fine up until this point
The only other hardware I have added recently is a wireless USB adapter
After my system restore I disabled all windows updates as well as my GPU driver updater etc
I have played a lot of games on my PC, sometimes it will BSOD during the game however other times they will run flawlessly for hours.

Any help is appreciated, if any more information is required let me know and I'll try my best to get it for you. I can provide the dump file for the first and last BSOD however the other one seems to have disappeared after the restore :(

1268553 2012-04-06 01:51:00 Replace your RAM. pctek (84)
1268554 2012-04-06 02:55:00 fileinfo.sys is crashing. And that 0x00000024 stop error isnt good. It maybe a failing hdd. dxgkrnl.sys belongs to directx. It looks like dxgkrnl.sys can crash flash if youre watching a video.. Disabling hardware acceleration may fix this

But yup as Pctek said, replace the ram

1268555 2012-04-06 03:22:00 When multiple files are apparently causing multiple different BSOD errors it's often a cause of faulty hardware or other general fault, often nothing to do with the named files specifically. Agent_24 (57)
1268556 2012-04-06 10:10:00 Im testing each of the modules again got two in at the moment and have scanned 10 times with no errors will use pc with these two only for abit and see if the problem reemerges. I have run check disk and windows directx check scan and they didnt seem to find any errors. smithinator (15240)
