Last night this happened and in our workplace we cannot access our web tools because of this. They run on 6_21, if we upgrade they stop working.

Is there a way to force this somehow? I doubt it but thought i would ask the brains before resorting to using IE

The web tool is Primavera

Cheers

1268295 2012-04-04 00:14:00 Looks like this is a feature of / in FF now. Because of vulnerabilities older versions of Java have. So, you cant force it to use that version of Java (arstechnica.com)

And info here about it (blog.mozilla.com). The only way you maybe able to use that version. Install an older version of FF (which may not be wise). Since Java will still have vulnerabilities, and you'll probably get hacked or something. If you keep using the old version of Java. And using another browser wont help. Because, you'll still be using the outdated version of Java

1268296 2012-04-04 00:23:00 Yeah thanks speedy
it looks like a bit of a problem because and this is going to force us to upgrade. but that could take months as we have to test it in dev first blah blah

This could be interesting...

I think we may be able to go to 6_24 without upsetting our server but i cant find anywhere to download it to test it

Does anyone have a link or a file they could ftp me?

1268297 2012-04-04 00:26:00 Well 6 update 24 wont work either. If you want to use it with FF. Since according to the Mozilla site 6 update 30 and below are blocked. And versions below 7 update 2 are blocked. 6 is up to update 31 now, and 7 is up to update 3

I wouldnt use anything under 6_31 since all older versions have vulnerabilities. And sooner or later, you may get hacked if you use them

1268300 2012-04-07 01:23:00 Have you tried IE Tabs in Fire Fox? mzee (3324)
1268301 2012-04-07 01:39:00 Even if you try and bypass it, the old Java is still installed. Speedy Gonzales (78)
