| 1268030 | 2012-04-02 07:42:00 | my brother has several word documents on his usb. they all open fine except for one that opens with this error message www.imagef1.net.nz it does the same thing on my laptop. it was worked on earlier in the day with no problems any ideas??? |

This can happen if it wasn't saved in a format like doc or docx, or if you were using something like open office then trying to use MS office. May sound dumb, I know it says its doc,but you sure its an actual word document ? Below is what I 'm meaning, the Pic looks similar to yours, it was a jpg file renamed to doc, then opened in word. 3686 |

| 1268033 | 2012-04-02 09:30:00 | my brother was writing in the document earlier today at school. it was in the format of word 97-2003 document, but i've used that format before, and converted to docx/doc and worked in office 07 and 2010 and never had the issue. oh well, he's rewriting the whole thing now |

| 1268034 | 2012-04-02 09:53:00 | Just something to try -- In Office, from file/ Recent, look to see if its listed there,if it is, try opening it. It may just open another copy if the original has not been deleted, of course if it were on a USB drive that drive may have to be attached. Word does by default make backup copies, these may help ( or not) support.microsoft.com | wainuitech (129) | ||
