1267834 2012-04-01 22:18:00 I'm editing an audio file which was extracted from a home video, and I'd like to know how to put the edited audio file back into the video from which it was extracted. I first had to extract the audio file and convert it into an .mp3 using Freestudio's Video-to-MP3 Converter program, and then used Audacity to edit the .mp3 file. Now that I have the edited audio file, how can I put it back into the video from which it was extracted? Are there any free programs that can do this? xmojo1 (4630)

1267836 2012-04-01 22:35:00 You may have to 'null' out the existing track. Getting it to stay synched all the way through might be an issue. Good luck. Paul.Cov (425)

Hopefully synching won't be an issue, I'm not adding to or cutting the audio file, merely dubbing over any "bad language" spoken with silent audio, so the edited audio file length is the same as the unedited file.

1267838 2012-04-02 00:13:00 As cs noted, virtualdub or virtualdubmod (www.animemusicvideos.org) to replace edited audio (or possibly copy a audio stream then replace/import with edited audio), and can also sync/interleave with video. But might take a bit of time. Maybe check out video help (forum.videohelp.com) com. kahawai chaser (3545)
