2012-04-01 03:36:00 | Any way of watching isky on an iPad ? Guessing it's something to do with flash and apple not supporting it, but is there a way of overcoming this ? No doubt lots of answers will say don't buy apple, icrap etc etc but of course this is not the question, cheers

2012-04-01 03:52:00 | After reading through the Sky faq, there are several post regarding the app and iSky/iPad. The reply from Sky is " we will be adding more channels however at present we are not at the stage that we can specify a date or time scale." So basically the iPad is not capable of playing the flash video - blame Apple for that, they are the ones restricting access and content, not sky.

Not to mention wp7. And let's face it, if you are ever going to use isky it's going to be away from home. |

2012-04-01 05:13:00 | In few forums, magazines and other sites, theres been a bit of talk about windows 8 being a big pain in the butt for apple -- I can see why too, W8 touch screen tablets will have the metro that allows apps to run, and then switch to a windows based OS if required, meaning flash and all the other applications people may use will more than likely work. So the best of both worlds I spose you can say. Nothing against apple, or the iPads, they are good at what they do, but Apple cripple some peoples requirements by locking the damn things to what they want (Apple) and not what their customers want to do. People have choices, so if a product wont do what they want, then they usually start looking elsewhere to something that will. BTW-- This is not an apple bashing - just pointing out that if Apple try to restrict their users to much to content they may start looking elsewhere.

2012-04-01 07:41:00 | Or blame sky for using craptastic flash and not HTML5, depends on how you want to look at it really. iOS is NEVER going to support flash, it's not like this is news or Sky/TVNZ/Who ever else would have been unaware of it. | Alex B (15479) | |
