| 1267556 | 2012-03-30 06:06:00 | do you need any software to be able to print from a tablet? I have a canon printer plugged into a print server/switch that I can print to from all my other computers and would like to be able to use the tablet for printing as well | gary67 (56) | ||

If you have a cloud print enabled printer or a PC running google chrome & configured to share the printer over cloud print then you can print from the browser (not app) versions of Google products. There are also a lot of 3rd party solutions similar to cloud print, but I haven't tried any of them. | Greven (91)

You can install it for free and try it out for a few prints to see if it does what you want before it requires payment. I had it working on my phone to a printer at work but saw no need for it and deleted the app. have a look on the app store. | dugimodo (138)
| 1267559 | 2012-03-30 07:27:00 | Don't they have some email printing apps. The printer attached to computer with the server side software in readiness to receive the email ... I read that some HP printers the newer ones support it so Smartphones can print off them - but those don't need computer cos they connect to the wireless router and might be registered to an email address ... | Nomad (952) | ||

| 1267562 | 2012-03-30 07:51:00 | Does android support airprint (What apple uses) I thought it had gone cross platform? No, air print and AirPlay are apples version of DLNA, the main difference is that apple kept to a standard and DLNA has been butchered | plod (107) | ||

| 1267565 | 2012-03-30 18:58:00 | That's not like Apple at all. Whether you agree with it or not, manufacturers are supporting it, so it's an easy way of printing. Which the OP was asking for |
