1268455 2012-04-09 04:25:00 2 desktops, one wired and the other wireless and an iPod Touch. bk T (215)
1268456 2012-04-09 08:37:00 Yeah exactly, by and large those devices are OK with one to two, but because of the limited amount of RAM, amongst other things, once you start loading on more than say 3 devices, things go pear-shaped. Still, if it's working for you, then great, consider yourself lucky and enjoy it :) Chilling_Silence (9)
1268457 2012-04-09 10:42:00 A close friend of mine is having this Thomson router serving 1 wired Desktop, 3 wireless laptops, 1 iPad, 1 Playstation, 1 Wii. Another example, my neighbour, who has 1 desktop (wired) and 3 laptops (wireless). They are all running perfectly fine for almost a year now without any problem. All happy users. :) bk T (215)
1268458 2012-04-09 11:11:00 I still suggest that is the exception, not the rule. Chilling_Silence (9)
1268459 2012-04-09 11:17:00 I respect your views, although I do not agree. bk T (215)
1268460 2012-04-09 20:06:00 That's fine, but I know they're picking those Thomsons up for < NZD$40 a pop, they're buying them because they're cheap and mass-provisioned, not because they're reliable. Chilling_Silence (9)
1268461 2012-04-09 21:02:00 I have a few clients running Thomsons, dont think there has ever been an issue with them. One client (a Real Estate Office), runs 3 fixed line computers plus network printer and at times there could be up to 9 wireless laptops. If I have any beaf with Telecom modems, it would have to be the 2Wire modem/router they supply, the wireless side of it is rubbish and modem config is so basic. Fine in a domestic environment, but hopeless in a business one. Iantech (16386)
1268462 2012-04-09 23:05:00 So I've done some digging, turns out there's Hardware Rev2.0 for the NB6Plus4Wn's that have had *terrible* firmware issues. PBTech cottoned on to this towards the end of last year, but they still had a mix of the Rev1.* devices they were pushing out the door. Anyways, they've had issues similar to the Thomsons, with everything from DHCP faults, port forwarding being broken, overheating ...

I stand corrected and humbly apologize :)
